I’ve started the daunting task of looking through my hundreds thousands upon thousands of pictures.
I could write a whole story about some of the crazy things we saw that would never be allowed back home, home as in Canada. From petting a cheetah to swimming at the edge of a mighty waterfalls, and zebra and giraffe wandering freely around our resort…
I thoroughly enjoyed 90% of the trip to my parents homeland, the remaining 10% I got incredibly sick and hope I never get sick like that again.
Meeting family was the best.
God-willing really hope to go back within the next 3 years and visit the family and friends I didn’t get to meet and the cities we didn’t get to see. Time was not on our side, we did so much and it feels like so little.
I’m ready to blog now and share what I experienced in this beautiful country, so stay tuned.
Above: taken by Vicky from inside the car. Seatbelts anyone?!

And it’s a kid too!! Looking forwards to your stories/adventures/photos
Was unsure if taking pics of random people from the car was okay but my aunt told us the kid would love it and he would probably wave to us, and when he saw us he did wave and seemed happy!
OMG lol! Haven’t seen things like this in a loooooong while.
Looking forward to your posts.
I took way too many pics, got too excited with the new camera… Now having to go through all the pics was such a headache.
Kruger Park rules!
Lol, did you manage to go there then?
Lol the picture reminds me of my childhood, riding around in my dad’s bakkie (or you would call it truck). In hindsight it seems dangerous, but back then it was such fun
I’m sad that we didn’t get to meet up
Fatima: Inshallah soon, because we want to come back!! So many people and places to still see *sigh* …
All this time, and you’ve uploaded only one pic? Seriously, I’m never coming onto your blog again.
Plus, my birthday is coming up.
Can you bring more pics over this weekend? You can come tonight, mom made the bake bean spaghetti and cheese thing.
zcoov1989: I have a job!!! Anyways I was going to post some today!
save some food for us, we’re coming tomorrow. I might bring pictures then…
It’s almost my birthday.
Btw I only come on your blog when I don’t feel like studying.
