    I CAN’T WAIT!!

    This is very exciting news.

Saaleha: We should organise a proper meetup for Liya and V with Haseena P (since they’re cousins) in Jhb. :)

    • 'liya says:

I want to meet everyone!! Maybe we can all go out for lunch or something? I’mwant to do everything possible because I don’t know if we’ll ever get to visit again in the future – the plane tickets were EXPENSIVE!

      :D

I see you’re back to blogging, I’ve missed you and your blog! We were thinking of flying through Abu Dhabi and I thought of you but then the only times that worked for us were flying through London.

  5. Sara says:

      • Sara says:

don’t forget about that tree house hotel. and if you want to swing from the tree’s again, that same place you went to in costa rica has a branch on the garden route.

Technically, seeing as you’re brown, the MOTHERLAND would be India! Even if some of your family was born in South Africa, ultimately your roots reign from India! :P

    • 'liya says:

Anonymous – I can’t believe you’re still so hung up over this, seriously get over it. Every brown person’s roots are originally from India just like every black person from Africa etc… isn’t that obvious? Anyways, I feel flattered that you still read my blog :)

    • Anonymous says:

Oh get over it lady. My MOTHERLAND is this entire world, regardless of where my parents were born, where I was born, or where I establish myself.

      • 'liya says:

Thanks Anonymous/Sobia! You don’t know how far I and the previous Anonymous go back – I don’t think you used to read my blog before, this person is obsessed with trying to prove something and he/she thinks themself an expert on all things SA ;S

  7. Anonymous says:

Can I have a souvenir from this trip, please :)

  8. Anonymous says:

I am an expert on all things SA, I was born and raised there! Silly girl! Bet you tell everyone that your hubby is South African as well! lol Wait till your extended family meets him and watch how differently they’ll treat him b/c he’s not South African! They’ll behave as if they are more superior than him!

    • 'liya says:

Anonymous: Um… I really don’t know what you want from me. Why are we having this conversation? I think you’re a bit strange really. My husband is NOT South African … what does that even have to do with my trip/this post/anything at all? And why would come on my blog and insult my family? Man, I wonder what kind of people raised you… like is this what you do to everyone or just me and is this what you do in your free time or just for fun? My extended (family) are some of the nicest people I know, I wish they lived closer so that they could have met Vick by now, but December it is. I can’t wait to see my family and the country my PARENTS are from. I hope I’ve clarified things for you now. If you need further clarification on where I/him/family was born or lives please let me know and I’ll try my best to answer your nosy little questions to bring some peace to your life.

    • Sara says:

omg what’s wrong with this person?!! why are u so rude and why are you even on liya’s blog? i know liya’s extended family and they won’t care that v isn’t south african! what does that have to do with anything?!!! GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

    Sobia: I know eh :D

Jan Fishler: Thanks! I came across your blog when I was looking for info about the Zambezi Sun. Since you’re visiting some of the same places we’ll be, I’ll definitely stay tuned :)

  11. Hello Webmaster, I noticed that http://liyapilly.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/december-cant-get-here-soon-enough/ is ranking pretty low for some keywords, this may be due to the new Google Panda update, or it could be due to a variety of other factors. I’m sure you already know about On-page SEO, where Google cares highly about proper formatting of various H1/H2/H3 tags, having your main keyword appear in the beginning of your post and having your post end with the keyword, along with having keyword related alt tags and very relevant LSI. However, you do not seem to have the proper Keywords or relevant Keywords in your posts and in the website. Right now you need a tool or plugin that will allow you to check on Keyword insights, search trends and check for backlink analysis and to find out your Keyword competition. To find a Keyword Plugin that combines both Keyword Research and has the ability as a Rank Checker is what WordPress Seo Keyword, please check out our 5 minute video.

    Hi,
I’m the anon that always leaves you the comments about you not comprehending that you are not really South African. I’d just like to say that I am sincerely sorry for all of my comments and that a few bad experiences with some South Africans have led to me being judgemental of ALL South African people. I have no right to say any of the things that I have said to you in the past and I know sorry doesn’t seem like a whole lot but I am sincerely sorry for every hurtful thing that I have said to you. I will not comment on your blog anymore and I wish you and your husband and your family a lifetime of happiness. I hope you and your husband have a wonderful time in South Africa with your family :) Take care.

    • 'liya says:

      Anonymous: Thanks for apologizing…
“a few bad experiences with some South Africans have led to me being judgemental of ALL South African people” – that’s too bad… I hope you’re able to find peace in the future with those who you’ve had a bad experience with.
